Consignment Agreement

Welcome!

We’re very excited to have you. To get things off on the right foot, we ask all our consignors to sign an agreement outlining the terms of our business together. Please take your time to read the agreement,
and ask if you have any questions!

Please be aware that in the State of California we are required by the local authorities and the California Department of Justice (CA DOJ) to record certain information about the purchase, sale and consignment of items from/to sellers and buyers. This compliance is pursuant to California Law, Business and Professional Code, Div 8, Chapter 9, Article 4. (Section 21628)

Consignment Policy Agreement

We accept inventory on consignment using a 50% split — that means we keep 50% of the price of any item we sell on your behalf.

NOTE: We also may charge a processing fee per item for inventory that needs to be cleaned, or requires special care.

You agree that we may set the price of an item to any amount we deem appropriate. We do thorough research on the products we sell, so you can be sure you’re getting a fair price.

Our consignment period is 120 days, after which we will notify you that your items are ready to be picked up. If you do not pick up your items within 30 days, they will become our property and may be donated
to charity.

Inventory remains your property, and you may arrange to withdraw it from the store at any time prior to the item being sold by contacting our store to indicate your wish to remove the item from consignment. You will have 30 days to pick up your item(s) or they will become our property and may be donated to charity. You agree to waive all liability for items left in our care. Loss, damage, and theft are handled on a case-by-case basis, and compensation for such items will be at our discretion.

You agree that we may display items when and in whatever manner we deem appropriate, whether at our physical location, online, on our online store, or on our social media channels.

Certain items require CA DOJ CAPSS system reporting, which require valid Government ID validations,

Fingerprint scan and contact information. This is required by law in California. You must be 18 years old or accompanied by a guardian of parental authority with a valid government ID.

List of approved CA DOJ Identification provided that the document is currently valid or has been issued within five years and contains a photograph or description, or both, of the person named on it, and, where applicable, is signed by the person, and bears a serial or other identifying number:

(A) A passport of the United States.
(B) A driver’s license issued by any state or Canada.
(C) An identification card issued by any state.
(D) An identification card issued by the United States.
(E) A passport from any other country in addition to another item of identification bearing an
address.
(F) A Matricula Consular, in addition to another item of identification bearing an address.

A copy of the above Identification will be taken by our staff and retained for our records as required by the CA DOJ and California Law, Business and Professional Code, Div 8, Chapter 9, Article 4, Section 21628 for a minimum of 3 years.
